THIS RANCH HAS IT ALL!!!
Egeria is the Greek Goddess of Water in Roman mythology and the Egeria Creek Ranch is certainly a Mecca of water. The ranch, formerly known as THE FLATTOPS RANCH, sits in the beautiful Yampa Valley at the base of the Flat Tops Wilderness. Ute Indian Legend says that once you come to the valley your heart will be forever captivated and you will never be able to stay away.
The property benefits from the White River Elk herd which is 40,000 strong, and is the largest herd of elk in North America. The Wilderness located behind the property lies within the White River National Forest. Wildlife in the area include elk, mule deer, black bear, big horn sheep, mountain lion, and an occasional moose. And while its best known for elk, it produces quality mule deer bucks as well. Eagle County, just to the south, is well represented in the Mule Deer record books. The White River area has a resident deer herd of approximately 67,000 animals. Additionally Unit 26 offers some outstanding upland and waterfowl hunting. Blue Grouse and Sage Grouse abound in the area, as do ducks and geese along the waterways.

A TREMENDOUS CATTLE RANCH
A ranchers dream, the property has a reputation for great cattle that can graze on the property and in the endless permit acreage maintained by the ranch. The ranch has traditionally carried 2,200 pairs in the summer between the deeded acreage and the forest lease. In addition, typical production for hay of mountain grass has been 900 to 1,500 tons. Also includes summer grazing permits on more than 50,000 acres. The ranch has a complete set of working facilities to handle livestock, stack yards and is fenced and crossed fenced. The property also consists of tremendous water rights. In addition, the property has a 3,500 foot runway that could easily be expanded.
